FAQs
WHAT ARE YOUR PAYMENT TERMS?
Payment terms: To secure your booking, we require full payment to be completed online. Payment must be received before we can release any masters, audio files, or session files. Prices shown on the site are 50% discounted for independent artist.
WHAT IS YOUR CANCELLATION AND RESCHEDULING POLICY?
Cancellation and rescheduling policy: If a booking is cancelled within 48 hours of the session, the full fee is due; rescheduling within this period incurs a 50% fee, and no future bookings will be allowed until all balances are settled. If the cancellation is due to the fault of the studio, a maximum of two hours will be added to the client’s rescheduled session, to be decided at the sole discretion of the studio.
IS THERE ANYWHERE TO EAT NEARBY?
Nearby dining options: Within walking distance of the studio, there are plenty of great restaurants, and takeaways, as well as a Co-op supermarket just six minutes away. Alternatively, the studio kitchen has a microwave for preparing your own meals.
CAN YOU SUPPLY SESSION MUSICIANS?
Supplying session musicians: Yes, we have a vast network of talented musicians that we can provide for your project. Session musicians will require a separate rate in addition to your studio time, please get in touch and we will advise you on your specific needs.
HOW MUCH STUDIO TIME WILL I NEED TO BOOK FOR MY PROJECT?
Booking studio time: For a semi-ready song, we recommend booking at least 3 hours. However, the exact amount of time needed can depend on factors such as your experience in the studio, how you feel on the day, and how many vocal stacks you need to lay. Our sweet spot is generally around 3 hours, during which you can get comfortable, bless the mic, listen back, make corrections, and get a rough mix going.
IM READY TO BOOK THE STUDIO, WHAT DO I DO?
How to book the studio: We recommend booking a call with our Engineer Blaks Marshall first to discuss your expectations. Once you have had this initial chat, you will be instructed to our booking page where you can confirm your booking. You will also have the opportunity to upload any demos or rough ideas you have for the session, so the more we have, the better we can prepare.
WHO OWNS THE MATERIAL YOU RECORD AT THE STUDIO?
Ownership of recorded material: If you bring complete tracks to the studio and record them as you have written them, the ownership remains yours. However, if one of our producers/engineers add harmonies, melody, lyrics, or instrumentation, there is usually some recognition of this fact in the royalty split agreement. The same applies if you take part in a songwriting day. We have forms available at the studio where royalty splits can be agreed upon where relevant. For tracks recorded at the studio free of charge, the studio becomes the Rights Holder for the purposes of PPL. For more information, please consult PPL and PRS https://www.prsformusic.com/.
ARE SESSIONS ONLY FOR PROFESSIONAL SINGERS & MUSICIANS?
Sessions for all: Our studio is open to all levels of musicians and singers, from newcomers to platinum recording artists to Grammy-nominated acts. We believe we can offer valuable input at each step of the creative process, so let your passion get you through the door and we will handle the rest.
