HARRY HOWES
Harry is a highly motivated and creative sound engineer with a passion for pushing the boundaries of music technology. He holds a BSc (Hons) in Audio and Music Technology from the University of the West of England, graduating with a 2:1. With extensive experience in sound design, synthesis, and music production, Harry combines technical expertise with a creative flair, making him a valuable addition to the KCX Studios team.
Over the years, Harry has honed his skills in both studio and live environments. Proficient in all leading digital audio workstations (including Pro Tools, Logic Pro, Ableton, and FL Studio), he also brings programming knowledge in languages such as C++, Python, and Visual Basic to his workflow. His experience in music production spans diverse styles, with a strong understanding of recording & music production.
Harry’s career includes freelance work providing sound and lighting reinforcement for events, where he excels in customising technical setups to meet client needs. His role as a recording studio engineer has seen him collaborate with musicians to capture their creative vision, providing a full suite of services from tracking to mastering. Additionally, he has contributed to high-profile events through companies such as Pinnacle Crew Ltd, offering logistical support and managing client relationships at festivals and corporate functions across the UK and Europe.
Beyond sound engineering, Harry is adept at building and optimising computer systems, multimedia content creation using tools like Unreal Engine and Adobe Creative Suite, and managing sound libraries. His technical and creative capabilities are complemented by a calm, composed demeanour under pressure, making him a reliable team player in high-pressure environments.
Harry’s education and work experience are supported by a strong foundation in live sound, with credits including events at Wycombe Swan Theatre, the Museum of Comedy, and prominent festivals such as Glastonbury and Reading. He has also undertaken specialised training, such as the Procam Take 2 Filmmaking Boot Camp, to further diversify his skill set.
In his spare time, Harry shares his music projects under the monikers Hiltz and Hazjae, showcasing his ability to produce across genres on platforms like Soundcloud. With his versatile expertise and dedication to innovation, Harry is set to thrive as an intern at K6 Studios.
